Comment:

I found this book to be a lovely aesthetic experience. The paper is thick and cream-coloured. The illustrations simple and beautiful, mostly in black and white. The words are a nice addition, carrying warm sentiments of friendship and love. And the weight and feel of the book is just right. Great for winding down before bed. Don't expect a plot, because there really isn't one.

Comment:

This story does not demand too much of the reader. It contains time travel, but I wouldn't call it "a time travel story." The historical fiction element was very "history light." This bothered me a bit because Bronwyn is supposed to be history professor. The mystery is fun and had a couple of twists and turns but was not overly complicated. The romance was the main focus of the story. If you don't want to think too much and just want an enjoyable, romantic story with a little paranormal element, this is a good book for you!

Comment:

This is certainly one of the better YA dystopian novels I've read. The characters are all unique, interesting, and believable. Their struggles are meaningful, if a little unrealistic (dystopia, though). The pacing was really consistent, with genuine surprises in the plot along the way. The sci-fi elements are not explained much, which is for the better because, as with most YA, they would not hold up well under close scrutiny (I'm talking mainly of the nanites. And the regeneration). I would not hesitate to recommend this book to a teen. It explores the complexity of what it means to be young, to be human, and to be mortal.

Really great movie. Funny, cringe-worthy, shocking, thought-provoking. It's got a little bit of everything for me. And the acting was *chef's kiss*
