With deliberate intent to shock, offend, outrage and disgust, director John Waters, succeeded, like no one else, in producing one of the most notorious cult films ever made. And, it was done, thankfully, for once, without the use of buckets of blood, or excessive gore._____ Yes. Pink Flamingos may, indeed, be shocking and offensvie, but, by the same token, it is genuinely funny in a very twisted and distasteful sort of way. I mean, this film was obviously not meant to satisfy everyone's palate._____ Pink Flamingos stars real-life transvestite "Divine" (aka. Harris Milstead) as Babs Johnson, a big, bloated, sleaze, known far and wide as "The Filthiest Person Alive"._____ Trust me, this is one film that you really need to see to believe._____ Released in 1972 this bona-fide b-grade, cult classic was produced on a skimpy $10,000 budget. It has since earned an amazing $6 million in the USA, alone.
