After hearing only bad things about Marie Antoinette, it was interesting to read a story that is sympathetic to her, and gives one insight into what she may have felt and why she acted as she did. This doesn't fix the terrible injustices of poverty in France at the time, but makes the folly of the rulers more comprehendible.
