Circle of Friends

the Massive Federal Crackdown on Insider Trading-- and Why the Markets Always Work Against the Little Guy
Nov 15, 2013bbb1771 rated this title 0.5 out of 5 stars
Written by Fox Network correspondent, the basic premise seems to be insider trading is a victimless crime, and there are other bigger investment problems like greedy banks out there, so until the other problems go away, big bad government should leave those hard working hedge fund managers (and by extension the big talking heads in the financial media) alone. Not hard to imagine who's buying this book and patting the author on the back. The book jacket proclaims "Circle of Friends is a wake up call to the investing public." Absolutely correct. The investing public should be aware that many of the 'personalities' on the Fox Business Network like Gasparino are as bias as their news counterparts at Fox News and dancing furiously to the tune played by those who profit most from the status quo.
