Yeah-Yeah. Even though I am definitely not a Charlie Chaplin fan, per se, and I often find his "Little Tramp" schtick to be a tad annoying (especially the tramp's splayed-foot walk and the way he sticks out his ass), I must confess that I did find a good number of these silent-era, slapstick shorts to be quite entertaining. In fact, some of them were downright hilarious._____ Dating from between 1913-1915, this 4-DVD collection contains approx. 30 short films (ranging from 6 - 15 minutes in length) that come from Chaplin's years with Mack Sennett's "Keystone Studios" in Hollywood.______ Besides starring in all of these shorts, a great number of them were also written and directed by Chaplin, as well._____ In these short, slapstick situations Chaplin clearly shows much more innovation and imagination than did the likes of Harold Lloyd or Fatty Arbuckle._____ These films have all been beautifully restored (clear, sharp & rock-steady) and are included with all-new musical accompaniments.
