I think we're definitely seeing Nova's viewpoint expand as she starts to question her allegiance and her priorities. She is also getting a bit tired of leading the double life I think and just wants things to be simpler.

The introduction of Agent N is a powder keg. I don't know how the council thought it was a good idea. If you absolutely have to it should be kept in a secret lab and only used on prisoners, not given out to bloody patrol units. That's just asking for bad things to happen. I also think Agent N is an indication of where this trilogy is going.

Archenemies is the second installation in Marissa Meyer’s amazing Renegades series. In the extraordinary world of prodigies, Nova Artino is leading two lives. As a villain known as Nightmare, she plots to take down the hero organization that failed her family. She has infiltrated their system and become Insomnia, joining a squad to keep order in the city. However, she is becoming attached to the squad leader, Adrian, who just so happens to be the son of the Renegade’s leaders. Loyalties become harder and harder to determine as Adrian and Nova strive for justice from different sides. I loved this book because of its great exploration of the gray area between right and wrong.

This awesome series continues as the stakes get higher. Meyer continues to blur the lines between Superhero and Villain. Tension rises to a spectacular ending creating such a mess for the characters you're unsure of how the series will come to a close.

I loved this book! I read over half of it the day I checked it out, and words just can’t describe how perfect it is!! Something happens, I’m like, “hm, I wonder if [this] will happen?” but then something even better happens and it’s just??? Awesome???? The ending literally gave me chills, I just!! Highly recommend this series, and I can’t wait to get my hands on the third book!

I absolutely loved this book! When I finished Renegades, I just HAD to get Archenemies, and the two are both equally thrilling. I am extremely anticipating the third book.

I loved this book! It was very interesting and exciting. I loved the Nova and Adrian romance and Oscar and Ruby, they are both very cute. What was really refreshing was to read the book from the "villain's" point of view. I also like how the story makes a point that those who seem to be good and that the vast majority agree with and follow, alter things (The Sentinel, who is good or not) and think that if one is not a Renegade and is doing things such as catching criminals they are evil. Overall, this is a very unique and AMAZING book!!! Can't wait to read Supernova (greatcover btw).

While some scenes were rather slow and tedious, this book functioned well as a bridge, and I can't wait to read the next one.

Time is running out. Together, they can save the world. But they're each other's worst nightmare.....
Nova's double life is about to get a lot more complicated: as Insomnia, she is a full-fledged Renegade {a syndicate of powerful and beloved superheroes}. She works with Adrian's patrol unit to protect the weak and maintain order in Gatlon City. As Nightmare, she is an Anarchist {a group of villains who are determined to destroy the Renegades}. She wants vengeance against the so-called heroes who once failed her when she needed them the most. As Nova, her feelings for Adrian are deepening, despite the fact that he is the son of her sworn enemies and, unbeknownst to Nova, he has some dangerous secrets of his own.
Nova, Adrian, and the rest of their crew {Ruby, Oscar, and Danna} are faced with the escalating crime in Gatlon City, while covert weapons and conflicting missions have Nova and Adrian questioning not only their beliefs about justice, but also their feelings for each other. The line between good and evil has been blurred, but what's clear to both of them is that too much power could men the end of their city...and the world....as they know it.
