Deadpool is a 2016 Marvel Comic Superhero movie. The film was written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick and directed by Tim Miller. Deadpool is the first stand alone movie for this superhero.

Deadpool stars Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Ed Skrein as Francis Freeman/Ajax, T.J. Miller as Weasel, Gina Carano as Angel Dust, Breanna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Stefan Kapicic was the voice of Colossus.

The movie starts with Wade Wilson being a for hire mercenary who meets and falls in love with a prostitute named Vanessa. They are having a great life together when all of a sudden Wade receives a diagnosis of cancer. Wade and Vanessa were engaged to be married. He loves Vanessa but does not want to put her through his cancer treatment and ultimate death. Wade meets a mysterious man at the bar where the mercenaries hang out to get jobs and offers him an experimental cancer treatment. He quietly leaves Vanessa.

Wade ultimately goes for the treatment and this is where he meets Ajax and Angel Dust. They inject Wade with a serum that is supposed to awaken latent mutant genes. The more stress they put him under the more likely the genes will express themselves. When left in a hyperbaric chamber for a weekend, let's just say Wade comes out quite mutated and looks burned. He manages to escape the facility he is held in but does not go immediately back to Vanessa out of fear for how he looks.

Wade moves in with a blind lady and adopts the cover of Deadpool to disguise himself as he hunts down Ajax. When he catches up with Ajax, he already has Vanessa held hostage on a helicarrier. Negasonic and Collosus join in the battle at the helicarrier and want to recruit Deadpool for the X-Men.

Who is the victor in this battle, you will have to watch to the end to find out. This film is chocked full of comedy and special effects.....highly entertaining and a great laugh.

This film grossed $783.1 million dollars worldwide.

This movie is rated R. A must see on your 18th Birthday. Violence and Nudity.

Awesome movie, although it’s slightly inappropriate (actually it’s really inappropriate but at least it’s funny). Overall really funny and was definitely different than other super hero movies like super man where the hero’s like 100% perfect. Ryan Reynold’s is an amazing actor. Very interesting. I disliked the amount of ... yah you know but other than that great movie!

Considering only the casting, Ryan Reynolds is the embodiment of Deadpool and could not be improved upon in this day and age. His casting and screentime alone make the movie more than worth a watch.

That said, the movie itself is kind of tried-and-tested, and though very irreverent and silly, is not particularly original in any of its beats, outside the R-rating and Deadpool's charming presence.

Reynolds carries the movie like Atlas carries the world. Remove him, and this enjoyable flik feels tired and mediocre.

Found the movie entertaining but I liked Deadpool 2 better. If you enjoy X-men you will enjoy this movie. A little bit of nudity when Ryan Reynolds went into the strip bar looking for his wife. Some good looking strippers.

Absolutely clever and hilarious. I'd give it a five except, yes, all the violence is hard to live with after watching. And, come on, does everything have to be sexualized?

In many ways, similar in spirit to the original “Robocop”.

it has enough pranks to make the viewer laugh
yet at the same time, reynolds's smart alecky remarks makes a normal viewer of john mcclanes antics in die hard want to give reynolds the award for "worst superhero" when trying to actually do their job right
