This was the last book in the Masterminds series, and was perhaps the best. This book opened many doors to the questions I've been asking myself all along as a reader. It is honestly so hard to write something about this book without spoiling anything! In this book, the four kids get separated into pairs. Amber and Malik track down a person named Gus Alabaster. He is Malik's DNA donor. The two kids spend lots of time with Gus to find out more about Project Osiris. On the other hand, Eli and Tori find out who is Eli's DNA donor. That part in the book was extremely shocking. In the end, it turns out that all the adults of Serenity were behind everything! That was just one twist. There are so many other shocking things that happen in the book. At the end of the book, Eli, Tori, Amber, and Malik finally reunite with their parents, but not nearly how they expected to. That was my favourite part in the book. The ending was both good and surprising, and it put a smile on my face. The thing I liked best about the book were the ideas. The ideas about what will happen next in the book were creative, and unique. The readers would have no idea about what will happen next, but when they start reading the upcoming chapters, they would feel amazingly shocked. That's how I felt. After reading this series, I started to love Gordon Korman as an author and I think that he writes great books. I would definetely recommend reading this book! I was a little surprised by the resolution… Could it have been better? It ended so fast, I was like, that's it?
Even though I thought the conclusion was hurried, I still think this is a pretty good book to end the thrilling series.
My favourite characters are Tori Pritel and Eli Frieden!

I liked this conclusion, and I felt that it finished off the series satisfactorily. Also, I LOVED the revelation of who Eli is cloned from (I promise, I won't spoil it here.) It fit perfectly. They did kind of rampage across the country again, but it was at least realistic (and they paid damages :) All in all, well done! Great series!

Tori Pritel: This is the most beautiful scenery I've ever seen. But what I'm really looking forward to is winter. I'm dying to see this gorgeous landscape covered in snow.
Malik Bruder: Wait till you're out there painting with your hand frozen to the brush.
Amber Laska: Wait till your rear end fuses to a chair.

There weren't a lot of pets in Happy Valley, and, come to think of it, none of us clones ever had one. Maybe Osiris felt that animals would interfere with their precious experiment, like being slobbered on by some mutt might bring out the criminal mastermind in your personality.
