Gripping depiction of our female senators, their daily lives, and their non-partisan group dinners that means they can work effectively across party lines despite increasing vitriol. Recommended for anyone interested in politics and women's advancement. Both Cantwell and Murray appear.

I have quite a bit of negative things to say about all the women portrayed in this documentary, so I'll have to only cover several of them.
[1] Gary Gensler pretty much committed career suicide in his position as chair of the Commodity Futures Commission, when he lobbyied most industriously and finally won extremely limited oversight on the 10% worst credit derivatives - - but then this was traded to the R-cons for practically nothing by Barbara Mikulski! [Gensler was also responsible for the study which found that 90% of all commodity trades were speculative in nature, not hedges!]
[2] When I questioned Maria Cantwell on her collusion, aiding and abetting the offshoring of American jobs, her response was that corporations have to do this in order to compete! Well, if they cannot employ Americans, they shouldn't receive all the benefits [including not paying any federal taxes] in being based in America! Therefore, they are whittling down our taxbase - - offshoring a portion of the GDP with those jobs, avoidance of federal taxation, zero amortization in their country, et cetera!
[3] Hillary Clinton brought the Indian jobs-offshoring firm, the Tata Consultancy to Buffalo, NY, where they replaced thousands of American workers with foreign visa workers, and eventually offshored even more jobs!
Regardless of gender, we need far fewer corrupt people in congress!
[4] Patty Murray voted for the confirmation of neocon John Roberts to the Supreme Court - - Roberts bore much culpability in the writing of the the forced arbitration clause/contract, excluding the worker's right to lawsuit or legal redress [company-appointed arbiter decides each case, and guess who they decide it in favor of?], and Murray supports the Trans-Pacific Partnership, which will make the forced arbitration extant globally!D
[Political theater means that the so-called dems vote for extreme rightwing appointees to SCOTUS, while republicons interdict the process.]
