The creative team continue where they left things off in this volume, that has the somewhat rotating roster of villains coerced into doing the government's dirty work at it again. Along the way, Amanda Waller deals with office skulduggery and the tensions of dealing with a team consisting primarily of maniacs. It's different, but it works fairly well (even if one's left to wonder how to reconcile this Harley Quinn with the one starring in her own solo series).

I didn't know how much I would like this but I liked it. Not a lot but I did like it. The author has a good handle on the characters so that people who don't read them often - such as myself - could take interest in them whether we watched the movie or not (and the characters are either different in some way from their movie incarnations or just altogether different characters not used in the movie at all). Plus, Amanda Waller more resembles the Amanda Waller of Arrow than she does of the Suicide Squad movie.
