"Imagine waking up in a strange place where you don't recognize anything, and everyone you know and love is nowhere to be found. Now imagine that you are a Green Lantern. The rest of the Corps is missing, you don't know where you are and there's not a Power Battery to be found for as far as your ring can scan. Where are you? How did you get here? Those are just two of the many questions facing our heroes"-- Provided by publisher.

I agree with the above. Great writing and wonderfully vivid artwork make Lost Army a hit.

The Green Lantern books can tend to be stale- perhaps from having one of its leading characters, Hal Jordan, be such a boring character. This carries on the Green Lantern Corps concept, which features other Lanterns front and center, and takes them to a distant place and time and strands them there. The idea works quite well, as does placing them in reluctant alliances with familiar faces who don't quite know them. Add that to the fact that the writer is one of the best in the comics industry, and this is a much more compelling read than the solo Lantern book.
