This 1981 dramatic horror film is about a policeman who is trying to solve a string of murders where it seems like the victims were attacked by some kind of rabid beast. The investigation leads the detective to a group of Indigenous people who warn the officer of a mythical story of a man who is part wolf and part human who likes to terrorize the city. I felt like the movie was pretty well executed given how old it was, and that it had a pretty good storyline and characters. Some moments in the film were cheesy and kind of pointless, but it was generally entertaining nonetheless. I would rate this movie 3.5/5 stars. @The_Reviewer of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board
Not one for werewolf films i make an exception with this one. It's along the veins of American Werewolf in London in it's visual presence. C'mon, take a bite you probably will like it.
Wolfen is one of those movies I can watch once a year and still be completely involved. A little bit of journalistic investigation, science fiction, special effects and Native American interest. Great acting by Albert Finney.
