In various episodes from the second season, Hank rallies the town after a lawsuit by a fundamentalist shutters the local haunted house and abolishes trick or treating. The tenacious Hank is forced to immerse himself in the world of adult video after a video store computer's falsely claims that he rented and did not return a movie and it sullies his credit rating. "Jason, can you get that?"
"Sorry, Hank, I suffer from obsessive-compulsive disorder. If I get out of this chair, Garth Brooks is gonna die."

KING OF THE HILL really comes into its own this season. This second season is filled with some fantastic standout episodes, like "Hilloween" in which a litigious Evangelical bans Halloween, "Jumpin' Crack Bass (It's a Gas, Gas, Gas)" in which Hank is on trial for mistaking crack for fish bait, "Three Days of the Kahndo" in which neighbour Kahn asks the Hills to participate in a less than desirable Mexican timeshare, "Hank's Dirty Laundry" in which Hank's credit is destroyed by a video clerk's accusation that Hank rented a video and never returned it, "Leanne's Saga" in which Luanne's addict mother comes back to Arlen, and "Peggy's Turtle Song" in which Bobby is misdiagnosed with ADD and Peggy stays home to take care of him. The art, design, and animation all got significantly better this season and the writing stayed on the great stellar track from its debut season. Underrated but fantastically funny, I highly recommend the second season of KING OF THE HILL.
