Great book i couldn't put it down. A few times i found myself in tears over what those 3 ladies went through and the strength and courage it took to remain alive and positive they're definitely heros.

Heartbreaking. Book could have been condensed, very repetitive.

I couldn't put the book down. I read it in about two days. I am glad she was able to tell her story and move on with her life. It was sad how she had to take most of the abuse while there before the others arrived.

Amazing story of survival , though I was a little disappointed that their wasn't more written about life after escape from that monster Castro .
I'm so happy for the woman that they have reclaimed their lives and may god bless them:-)

Just watched the movie and was amazed that she was able to endure all that she did. I am so proud of you for being the strength for Amanda and Gina. You have the courage that most people only wish they had. She is a survivor. Wish I had the chance to meet you.

I couldnt beleive what this poor woman had gone through, before and after being kidnapped, and held hostage. I think her previous life before the kidnapping prepared her for what was to come. I couldnt even imagine what her and the other two ladies endured. The abuse, physically and mentally, i found extremely upsetting. I couldnt beleive there are humans out there, who still draw the same breath we all breathe. Well written, very hard to put down.

Michelle is a one of a kind person. Not only was she living through Hell before she was kidnapped but then it got way worse! I had no idea how horrible this poor girl's life was up until she was free'd. How someone can come out of the first 32 years of life living the way she did and then be positive and go on beats me. I thought I had bad days but they are NOTHING compared to what Michelle had to deal with. So sad but such an insperational woman!

Repulsive and horrifying are the only words to describe the experience that Michelle Knight, Amanda Berry and Gina DeJesus endured at the hands of an absolute monster. As upsetting as the decade of terror and torture was, this book offers insights into the magnitude of degredation and suffering these girls were subjected to. The events in the book are unfathomable, but they prose brings to light the humanity of the victims of the Cleveland kidnappings and their quest to regain freedom. This is not a fireside chat book, but an eye-opening tale of the horrors that other victims are probably still going through. Thank you, Michelle, for telling your story.
