Repulsive and horrifying are the only words to describe the experience that Michelle Knight, Amanda Berry and Gina DeJesus endured at the hands of an absolute monster. As upsetting as the decade of terror and torture was, this book offers insights into the magnitude of degredation and suffering these girls were subjected to. The events in the book are unfathomable, but they prose brings to light the humanity of the victims of the Cleveland kidnappings and their quest to regain freedom. This is not a fireside chat book, but an eye-opening tale of the horrors that other victims are probably still going through. Thank you, Michelle, for telling your story.
Michelle Knight's determination to survive for 12 long years in a hell-like atmosphere is nothing but miraculous. Whe was able to fogive her tormentor and is an inspiration to us all. A must read.
