Thanks to a childhood spend with a family of cops, Shawn Spencer possesses an incredible photographic memory and notices seemingly insignificant details. These traits allow him to spend his jobless days providing the police with mystery-solving tips-- but his knowledge soon makes him a suspect. In order to clear his name, the unlikely sleuth declares that he has clairvoyant abilities and launches his own investigative agency, Psych. His skeptical best friend, Gus, is also on the case in this quirky television series.

I never really watched this nor could I get into it when it premiered and came on after "Monk" which is one of my favorite shows, but when it popped up in reruns, I found myself watching a few episodes here and there. I admit that I've only watched a handful so far but I like the mix of mystery, drama and humor and I think that one of these days I'm going to watch the series from the beginning and get to know Sean and Gus a little better.

After accidentally becoming the suspect for a crime due to solving it for the police, Shawn Spencer pretends to be a psychic by using the incredible detective skills he learned from his ex-cop father. Shawn and his best friend, Gus, are then given the opportunity to work alongside the Santa Barbara Police Department to solve crimes. This show is a hilarious take on your average crime show, and Shawn’s antics as he attempts to keep use the illusion of his clairvoyance are ridiculous but entertaining. The mysteries are wild and complex and will keep you guessing until the last minute. Overall, Psych is a very fun and lighthearted show that is worth watching all the way to season eight. @amiwrite of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board

Psych is downright hilarious! Too bad my friend's parents think it's "innapropriate."
What do they know? It's the best of immaturity!

Acting wasted by weak plots and over the top zaniness. 4 of 10 stars
