In 1971, four college students got together to form a rock band. Since then, that certain band called Queen has released 26 albums and sold over 300 million records worldwide. For the first time, the band tells their story. Featuring interviews with the band and unseen archive footage, including their recently unearthed first ever TV performance. It's a compelling story told with intelligence, wit, plenty of humor, and painful honesty.

Much as I enjoyed the film Bohemian Rhapsody, knew there were a lot of bits missing from Queen's story and luckily recalled that this documentary existed. It portrays 20 years of Queen's career compiled mostly of phenomenal archival footage interpersed with present-day interviews of Brian and Roger (guitar and drum player respectively).

This documentary was released in 2011 and tells the story of how the famous British Rock band - Queen - came to be all the way back in 1971. The documentary went over in length how the band managed to gain a massive following and have such a strong live performance. In my opinion, as solidified through this film, Freddie Mercury was the number one reason why the world fell in love with this band. It is tragic that he had to die so soon, but at least part of his story was told in this movie. I would rate this documentary 4/5 stars and recommend it to those who are fans of the band Queen.
