I enjoyed reading this, even though it is written at a level easily accessible for young audience. The early history of comic books, and the the medium of radio broadcast were interesting. The forgotten artists are nerd prototypes. Placing the broadcast in the context of McCarthyism, after the wartime issues and at least a decade before the beginning of the Civil Rights movement, makes Superman suddenly historically relevant!
