I've read the first 3 of these books and they are very good! I started reading these as a teen and still enjoy them as a young adult.
Daniel X: Game Over is the fourth book in the Daniel X series. The story follows Daniel X, an alien hunter tasked with tracking down and eliminating the most dangerous aliens on planet Earth. This time, Daniel has to face two aliens from the top 10 most wanted list, Number 7 and Number 8. They’re shape shifters who are in charge of a large video game company, and they plan on making a game that can brainwash children around the world and turn them into their personal soldiers. Along with this, they also operate an underground poaching tournament, where aliens gather to hunt a rare and endangered creature throughout Tokyo. I found this story to be lacking coming off of the third book in the series, Demons and Druids. I felt that the plot was spread too thin across multiple story arches. Also, last instalment Daniel defeated Number Three and now he is battling two enemies weaker than him, in a way lowering the stakes. On top of that, the multiple story arches took the focus away from the antagonists which is something the series hasn’t done so far, and it didn’t really work this time. Overall still a good book, and if you like the Daniel X series this is still worth picking up. 3/5 Stars - @Fulton of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
