I generally liked this movie. There were some very harsh realities dealt with in this story. I appreciated the acting from all of the characters. I did not, however, like the ending at all. As a lesbian I found it smacked of punishment. Although, I cannot say with certainty, this was the intention of the writer or screenplay, it appeared as nothing less than a moral code being assigned.

Based on a true story this film's beginning is depression, has a short arc or happiness and then ends in depression again. I suppose life is like that for some people. In any case, you do feel a lot for each character, especially for Angela who suffers the most throughout the film's duration. I wanted to like this one, I really did, but left feeling as empty as when I begun to see it.
