In the tradition of Cynthia Heimel and Chelsea Handler, and with the boisterous iconoclasm of Amy Sedaris, Julie Klausner's candid and funny debut I Don't Care About Your Band sheds light on the humiliations we endure to find love--and the lessons that can be culled from the wreckage.

Entertaining and easy to read. If you've ever been a girl in your twenties, living in NYC, you will definitely relate!

LOVE LOVE LOVE. This incredibly insightful and absolutely hilarious book gave me the strength and courage to give up on crappy relationships. A must read for any girl trying to figure out what she wants in a relationship.

I would recommended this book as a light and funny read, Julie has an interesting way of writing, expect I found her to be too judgmental and snarky about certain people's proclivities and personal afflictions of certain types of people to define what was bad about her current state of relationships, herself and the men she dated. I did like that the book didn't look down (as so many books about females dating mishaps and self-help books about relationships do) about women picking the wrong guy and even liking them, but doing all the wrong things to get them to truly like her. Instead of picking up 'The Rules' or reading and watching 'He's Just Not That Into You' read this and you at least get to laugh at the situation that seems to always find itself tumbling into a lady's lap.

If you want to take a peek at the dating foibles of a modern young woman, without all the disturbing binge drinking and pathological lying (à la Chelsea Handler), this one is worth your time. A nice balance between humor and genuine insight.
