There is a lot of useful information in this book, which is presented in a very easy-to-follow format. The only drawback is that the book focuses only on the US publishing market, which means that the detailed contact information for colleges, internships, and professional organizations is not as useful for a Canadian audience. The general tips and employment prospects are still relevant, however, so I would recommend this to students thinking of working in the media.
