Loved this movie.

An excellent film - one of my favorite 'new watches' of the year, and this from a person who doesn't traditionally watch 'who dun it' mysteries'. One of the factors that makes the film so appealing and accessible to audiences is that it spoofs the mystery genre (among other things), and isn't afraid to go to high or low for the sake of comedy. The comedy beats and dialog are fantastic, with very few (close to none) sections that didn't land well. The cast is top-notch, starting with Daniel Craig as the southern detective chock full of clichés and proverbs. The movie lends itself well to multiple viewings because the content is just that good, packed with so many jokes and quick moments, you might miss something on the first go-round, but you may catch it again later.

Fast-paced and darkly humorous, everyone has a motive and what you think you know, you really don't. Great cast and plenty of twists and turns.

Allstar cast, a bummer, did not finish. Rotten tomatoes

Ruined by political propaganda. Boring biased story line. Took what could have been a great movie and try to push an agenda. I wanted to be entertained not have political views crammed down my throat. I could have just watched the news... . What a waste of time!

Daniel Craig (aka James Bond) is hilarious with southern accent. Good mystery comedy and good cast.

Great plot. Would have been a fun movie without the disgusting, juvenile plot device of one character throwing up every time she tells a lie. The final scene where all is revealed belonged in a drunken frat house movie or a horror film. Completely ruined the movie for me.

Perfect and perfectly fun. One of the best puzzle mysteries I've see in ages. I'd love to expound more, but I can't see how without getting close to a spoiler. Is it possible, though, that the sea captain "statue" was the same one in the old movie "Sleuth"?

Very good acting by all the cast members. A fun movie. Unfortunately, I figured out “who done it” Before the end of the first scene, but it was still fun!

"Because if you think that after all the bridges you burned. After all the *hi* said. After everything that you put this family through for the last years. That any of us are gonna support you. That any of us are gonna give you like dad like to say "A single red dime." YOU'RE NUTS!"

"I spoke in the car about the hole at the center of this doughnut. And yes, what you and Harlan did that fateful night seems at first glance to fill that hole perfectly. A doughnut hole in the doughnut's hole. But we must look a little closer. And when we do, we see that the doughnut hole has a hole in its center - it is not a doughnut hole at all but a smaller doughnut with its own hole, and our doughnut is not a hole at all!"

I read a tweet about a New Yorker article about you. You’re famous.

28 quotes in IMDb and they are all good. Thanks to its contributors. There are no doubt a few more memorable depending on one's interest. e.g.

One thing I assume of age is weariness. Damned if I don't get more tired every day. Tired of what I do. Following arcs like lobbed rocks, the inevitability of truth. But the complexity and the gray lie not in the truth but what you do with the truth once you have it.
