To his amazement, he finds that the victim has been stabbed to death, locked in a wooden box and set alight. This very public demonstration of murder leads Brock and his assistant, DS Dave Poole, to believe that there might be a connection to a gang. This was a fun read. An artist turns up dead in a box which was set afire in a London park. Suspects appear left and right as Brock and Poole investigate further. There's a lot of sleight of hand going on and the reason for the victims demise isn't revealed until the end of the book. This is the first book I've read in this series but ir will not be the last.
