Does well at capturing the mood & culture of the 80s, as women really started reconciling their professional lives with their personal ones. Isabelle, in her early thirties, finds herself thinking about marriage. She is faced with a charming European writer and a plain Joe-Down-The-Street who owns a pickle shop. There are some cute moments here, mostly from the NYC/Jewish culture itself rather than believable chemistry between the leads.
made in the 80's and has the hairstyles and wardrobe to prove it. slower paced than today's films - enjoyable.
hard to find good romantic comedies - watch Father Goose or The Magic of Belle Isle or Katharine Hepburn & Spencer Tracy
the audio is too low; couldn't watch it
