ugh mackenzie is so..... um...... well you know um..... SPOILED SHE GETS EVERYTHING but sadly all nikki gets is a rude bullie i feel so bad for her
For the people who wanted to read this so badly: Nikki's locker wasn't closed properly due to her "very ugly puked colored coat" When Mackenzie walked by, she noticed that so she opened her locker and took her diary. In the end, Mackenzie transferred to another school and Nikki got her diary back.

Dork Diaries is a children's book series written and illustrated by Rachel Renée Russell. The series, written in a diary format, uses drawings, doodles, and comic strips to chronicle the daily life of its 14-year-old protagonist, Nikki Maxwell, in and outside of middle school. I enjoyed reading this book because the appealingness was the relatability of Nikki as a character. I would highly recommend this book to teens 14-18. I loved the drama and never knew what would happen next. Overall, the drama, comedy, and romance are perfect. Rating: 4/5 @PrettyKitty of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
Great book
This is probably my favorite one from the series and its also the first book from the series that I read! Its so awesome I'm so glad that I picked this book up when I was at the library!
This book and the other books in the series are amazing!Great illustration, great writing, and very funny.
Very good book! Makes everyone happy, this book is for all ages. I rate it four and a half! Plus get the other dork diarys! All good books!
This book is amazing! Any age should read it. It’s a perfect amount of pictures/drawings and words.
I first thought Dork Diaries was so boring. After I read this book, I absolutely FELL IN LOVE with Dork Diaries!!!!!! Everyone should have a friend like Nikki Maxwell. SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!
Nikki Maxwell reminds me so much of myself at that age. I too had to find my place and voice in a new school and new neighborhood. Finding true friends can be tough. Talking to your crush is even tougher. I like the old school diary format. Nikki's drawings really show her talent as an artist and showcase her quirky personality. She gets into some spectacular scrapes that had me laughing out loud. Nikki can be whiny and annoying at times, especially with her obsession with the popular girl, MacKenzie, but who wasn't annoying at that age. I can see why these books are so popular with young girls. Nikki goes through a lot of the things that adolescents have to deal with, especially peer hazing. I appreciate how she comes out on top at the end, gives hope to all awkward pre-teens out there. Stick to your talents and your besties and you'll be alright.
