Good story about the panda, and reasons why it is endangered. I like fictionalized science and environmentalism. I find it easier to understand and remember the relationships of facts when they are told this way.

I read in Chapter 6, that PUTONGHUA is " the common language, which is spoken all through China." I'd never heard this word before. Will ask a Chinese friend about it.
Also the Chinese panda is called "daxiong mao" -- pronounced dah-shung mah-oo.
Nice! I'm glad I read this little book.
