THE DVD WILL NOT WORK WHEN IT WAS INSERTED, IT EITHER SAID IT WAS A BAD DISC OR IF IT SUCCESSFULLY DID NOT SAY IT WAS A BAD DISC, IT WOULDN'T PLAY PROPERLY.

I thought it would be better, have the original voices, but nope. It was bad if you ask me. It bounced around too much, was too cheesy, and Zane was not Zane, ugh, how can you ruin Ninjago's best character?!

when i saw the trailer for this it was the first lego movie ive ever been interested in watching. unfortunately the movie actually totally sucked. im not sure if the villain gargamon is truly empty between the ears or if he just plays stupid, but hes a LOUSY villain/parent. i couldnt stand him!! kept considering whether i should give up watching or try dragging thru till the end. on the bright side, i enjoyed the cat since im a cat person.

This was a great movie, but there are a few off-details.
!!! SPOILER ALERT !!!
1. The thing with Garmadon.
In season 3: Rebooted, Garmadon ids drained of all evil. In season 4, he is banished to the Cursed Realm so the ghosts of Anacondrai generals can curse Chen's Army. In the movie, however, Garmadon is somehow revived and returns to his evil ways. (Although he was revived in his evil form in season 8: Sons of Gramadon, the season came out after the movie, so I'm not including details from that)
2. The hair.
The ninja's hairstyles are different in the movie that in seasons 1-7. Their hairs either vary slightly to completely changed.
3. Misako/Koko
In seasons 1-7, Misako is an old archaeologist, with no past of fighting. In the movie, her youth is somehow restored and is given a completely different backstory. She is also given a nickname: Koko.
4. Zane
In the TV show, from season 4-7, Zane has transformed from classic minifigure to an obvious robot. Zane does not mind this fact. In the movie, Zane has reverted to minifigure form and is desperatly working to keep his human reputation.

These small details completely contradict the original show, which I find a little stupid. But the Ninjago movie is something I definetely recommend.
I feel like this comment is already too long. Should I stop typing? Yes. Yes I should.

Okay. All in all, I agree that this is not a very good movie. And also, though I haven't watched the TV series, I agree that this is not at all cannon. But, people, please just back off for a minute and think about this: there was absolutely no way whatsoever for Lego to make a profit off this movie while keeping it true to the TV series. For example, you would have had to watch the whole series in advance to "get it".

actually, garmadon was bitten by a snake and not evil by heart

This is a very funny movie with a good message. Though LEGO ninjago fans be prepared for some personality changes and appearances of the ninja.

Okay so when i first heard that a Lego Ninjago movie was happening, i was pumped cause i watched the series as a kid and thought it was cool. i was slightly distressed about how the movie actually went against the original series, totally forgetting the snake people ark(but that's another story), and making Garmadon evil again(after turning good). but heck i thought i'll watch it anyway cause i'm still a fan at heart. and unfortunately i was gravely disappointed. they totally disregarded the original series and made changes that are just plain wrong. first of all, Lloyd's mom is'nt some ninja lady. She was a fellow scientist who studied Spinjitzu with Wu and Garmadon. Second of all, Garmadon was bit by a poisonous snake that was of some ancient evil(once again referencing the snake people ark). He didn't start out evil. It was the snake that corrupted him. I also didn't like how they portrayed some of the ninjas. They either made them the "cool" character or the "dumb" character. No way man. Don't mess with my Team Ninja!! I also didn't like a lot of the adult jokes. Come on! This is a KIDS movie!! Really! Garmadon was such a jerk. I also didn't like the fact that Lloyd's parents were not married. The Lego Ninjago movie was a DISAPPOINTMENT. More than once it became un-family friendly and the storyline so rushed and just plain twisted. As a fan of the original series, I declare this unworthy to be cannon.

I watched the Lego Movie and Lego Batman movie so I decided to finally check this one out. Nothing really special here and I found that the movie really reminded me of Megamind which is in general a far better movie.

Lego Movie was great, Lego Batman made me irritated with the gargling marbles voice of Batman and the overly comedic take of Batman, while this movie was pretty much nothing. They tried to repeat Lego Movie with the whole "real life" thing but it didn't have nearly the impact or interest that the first Lego Movie had. Yet another movie where Jackie Chan is wasted.

Disappointing, too much dramaaaaa and not half as many laughs as The Lego Movie or Lego Batman. Fails on having significant women's roles too.

Another hilarious and clever entry into the Lego Movie series. I love that the movies manage to capture the feel of a child playing with legos in their action, and still have plenty of jokes for the grown-ups. Nom nom nom!
