A great book! A funny approach to remind us all to check our biases and don't make assumptions about people until you have met them. Great for story time.

I didn’t know much about Elvis’s life prior to listening to this book. Priscilla gives a lot of details of how he was around her and about their relationship. Interesting to hear about such a famous couple.

The book, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, traces the construction of the fictional Cathedral of Chutreaux. Relayed through intricate pen-and-ink drawings, Cathedral laid the foundation for his series of architectural picture books for young readers. The book, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, traces the construction of the fictional Cathedral of Chutreaux. A good, fast read --even for a non-fan. The news has covered the highlights from the book so I won't bother. The book is definitely the story of a child star whose family cashed in on her successes and abused it, but its also the story of a modern day Marilyn Monroe figure (highly sexualized) hounded by the media who survives to give her perspective.A good, fast read --even for a non-fan. This is a really funny story about a girl trying to convince her Dad to give up his spot in the bed so she gets Mom all to herself. I read it during story time and the adults laughed out loud.

If you enjoy getting the inside scoop on famous individuals, this book might feel the need. I learnt interesting facts about Freud and Sendak. Other notable authors are also discussed in their final days.

A great book to use to talk about mental health with young children. Munsch has said in interviews that "Purple, Green and Yellow" is his take on depression. Despite how he might have been feeling, "[y]ou colour yourself for the world".

I used a story from this book as part of a science program. It actually created a lot of good conversation with the school-aged participants. They really had to use their observations from the text to explain their reasons why the suspect was the guilty party.
